Who we are
Lucky's Lake Swim is developed and published by Callejon Services LLC, based in Orlando, Florida. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@callejonservicesllc.com.
What the app does
Lucky's Lake Swim helps open-water swimmers at Lake Cane in Orlando track their swims, see lake conditions, earn badges, and complete the required liability waiver. It reads workout data from Apple Health or Health Connect, from Strava, or from a manually imported CSV file, and shows it back to you along with weather and water-temperature information.
Health and fitness data
With your permission, the app reads workout data (swim sessions, distance, duration, pace, heart rate, calories, and route) from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Health Connect on Android. This data is used only to display your swims and stats inside the app.
- Your health data stays on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, sold, or used for advertising.
- You can revoke the app's access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Lucky's Lake Swim on iOS, or in your Health Connect settings on Android.
Strava
If you choose to connect Strava, the app uses Strava's official sign-in flow to request permission to read your activities. Your Strava access and refresh tokens are stored securely in your device's encrypted keychain (iOS) or encrypted storage (Android) — never on our servers. Activities are downloaded directly from Strava to your device, filtered to swims near Lake Cane, and stored locally on your device.
You can disconnect Strava at any time from within the app, which removes the stored tokens from your device. Strava's own privacy policy governs how Strava handles your account and data on their end.
luckysapp.com import
If you choose to import history from luckysapp.com, the app opens a secure in-app browser so you can log in directly on luckysapp.com. Your login credentials are handled by luckysapp.com, not by Lucky's Lake Swim. That site's own privacy policy governs data you provide there.
Manual (CSV) import
If you import a CSV file of past swims, the app reads that file from your device's storage (or photo library, if that's where you saved it) and processes it entirely on your device.
Liability waiver
Swimmers are required to sign a liability waiver before their first session. Signing happens on a third-party e-signature site (waiver.fr), which collects and stores the waiver itself. The app only stores a simple "signed" flag and the date you signed on your device, so it can remind you if you haven't signed yet — it does not receive or store the waiver document or your signature.
Weather and water temperature
To show current conditions, the app requests public weather data from Open-Meteo and lake sensor readings from our own read-only API. These requests do not include your name, email, or any other personal information — only a date range.
App configuration
The app uses Firebase Remote Config to fetch basic, non-personal configuration values (like feature flags and API addresses). This may involve an anonymous installation identifier assigned by Firebase. We do not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, advertising, or any other tracking SDKs, and the app contains no ads.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don't require an account or collect your name or email just to use the app.
- We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app isn't directed at children.
Your controls
Because your workout and health data lives on your device (in Apple Health, Health Connect, and the app's local storage), uninstalling the app removes the app's local data. You can also, at any time:
- Revoke Health/Health Connect access in your device settings.
- Disconnect Strava from within the app.
- Reset your waiver status from within the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
